Hi, I’m Shelby
About Me
Being a military spouse taught me that life can change in an instant, and as a working mom of two, I've learned that "having it all together" is basically a myth. I'm Shelby, a licensed clinical social worker who's been in the trenches of juggling cross-country moves, sleepless nights with kids, and trying to figure out who I am outside of being everyone else's everything.
Here's what I know about therapy: real healing happens when you can drop the mask and be completely honest about where you're struggling. As someone who's navigated my own anxiety, depression, and major life transitions, I get it. I've sat in that overwhelm of trying to be the perfect spouse, the perfect mom, the perfect professional while feeling like I was drowning inside.
I meet you exactly where you are, probably in comfy clothes with snacks nearby, ready to have conversations that matter. I'm not here to be the distant “expert” with a clipboard. I'm here to walk through the mess with you, help you find what actually works for your life, and celebrate the small wins along the way.
I use a person-centered approach while pulling from parts work (IFS), cognitive and behavioral techniques, and whatever practical tools will actually help you feel more like yourself again. Whether you're drowning in anxiety, feeling stuck in depression, or navigating transitions that have turned your world upside down, we'll work together in a way that feels real and honest. Some days we'll laugh, some days we'll cry, and some days I might lovingly point out patterns you can't see yet.
I work with anyone dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I'm licensed in both Texas and Hawaii, offering both in-person and online sessions. If you're ready for therapy that feels genuine and meets you in your real life chaos, let's talk.
