Everything you need to know about working with Paths Align Counseling.
-
If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, burned out, or just not quite like yourself, therapy might be a really good fit. You don’t have to be in crisis to come to therapy. A lot of people come in simply wanting support, clarity, or a better way to cope with what life is throwing at them.
-
The first session is really just a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s been going on, what brought you in, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You don’t have to have it all figured out or know exactly what to say. We’ll go at your pace and start building from there.
-
We know it can feel vulnerable to open up to someone new. Our therapists are here to meet you with empathy, curiosity, and zero judgment. While your experience is uniquely yours, we’re trained to really listen, understand what’s underneath what you’re going through, and support you in a way that feels human and grounded.
-
It really depends on you and what you’re working on. Some people come for short-term support around something specific, and others stay longer for deeper work and growth. We’ll check in along the way and make sure therapy is still feeling helpful and aligned with your goals.
-
Yes, we do accept several major insurance plans, and we also offer self-pay options. Coverage can vary depending on the therapist, so if you’re unsure, just reach out and we can walk you through what your options look like.
-
That’s honestly really common. You don’t need to come in with a plan or the “right words.” If you’re feeling stuck, we’ll help guide the conversation and figure things out together as we go.
-
Fit matters a lot in therapy. If something doesn’t feel quite right, we’d rather you say something. We’ll help you find another therapist who feels like a better match for your style and needs.
-
We really focus on making therapy feel approachable and real. You don’t have to show up perfectly or say things a certain way here. Our therapists are warm, down-to-earth, and collaborative, and we use evidence-based approaches while still keeping things human and relatable. Our goal is for you to feel supported, understood, and actually comfortable being yourself.

Getting started is simple. You can reach out through our contact form, call, or email us. We’ll talk through what you’re looking for and help match you with a therapist who feels like a good fit for you.
